Pray the News - Updated weekly this site looks at the news of the world from a faith and prayer based point of view. Operated by Carmelite nuns from Indiana.

Bible
I'll be the first to admit, I'm not a Bible scholar. So finding a passage I need or just barely remember can be a problem. Here's a great search engine for the Bible. Your choice of translations too, now including "The Message"!
This is a FREE software program that includes a searcable Bible database, maps, dictionaries, commentaries and more. Make sure you download a Bible as well, it's not actually part of the software - Go figure!
Lots of resources for looking into the "history" of Bible stories. They acknowledge that not everyone agrees on everything, and give as fairly balanced view as they can.

Popular Culture
Looking for ideas on using movies as a basis for a program? This is a great site that looks at popular culture, especially movies from a Christian point of view.
Is this a good movie for teens to see? How about a straight forward movie rating site. They base their ratings on violence, language, sex, NOT on whether the movie is any good.
This is information from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) for parents to deal with, decipher and monitor what their children have access to in the broadcast media
The media is the single largest influence in our culture. Here's a great site for leaders (and parents!) who are looking for the best info about the media.
