Happening!

Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers

Happening is a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience. It has been a life changing event for young people all over the country, helping to move the knowledge of God from the mind to the heart.

The Happening program is founded in prayer and depends on the support of other Happeners and Prayer Community of youth and adults willing to commit prayer time to generate an environment in which the Holy Spirit can abound.

An approximately 48 hour event

held on a weekend.

• Small group/large group interaction

fun, games and singing

• A prepared staff of youth, clergy and

lay adults.

• Daily worship including at least one

celebration of the Holy Eucharist

• A defined Christian standard of

behavior, balanced diet and rest.

• A cloistered environment with

appropriate facilities for the event

and the physically challenged.

•An event operating under the authority

of the Diocesan Bishop.

Youth and Adults attending a Happening Weekend for the first time are called Candidates. After your candidate weekend you can become part of the group that organizes and runs a weekend. That's called being part of the Team.

The program is for young people in High School (grades 9-12).

Happening weekends are held twice each year in our Diocese (April and November)

Cost is $100 per person.

If you are interested please complete and mail the application as soon as

possible as space is limited.

Acceptance is on a first come first
